Power quality investigation

Measurement and analysis of harmonics, flicker and disturbances.

Overview

Power quality investigation

We measure and analyse power quality on site.

Root causes and mitigation are identified.

Power quality investigation
What it covers

Scope in detail

Measurement

Measurement

On-site power quality metering is installed to capture actual operating conditions over a representative period, recording voltage, current, harmonics and transient events rather than relying on a snapshot measurement that may miss intermittent problems.

Analysis

Analysis

Recorded data is analysed for harmonic distortion, voltage flicker, sags, swells and other power quality events, comparing results against the limits in the applicable standard and identifying the specific loads or conditions most likely responsible for any non-compliance found.

Mitigation

Mitigation

Where power quality issues are identified, we outline practical mitigation options — filtering, load rescheduling, equipment changes — sized to the actual measured disturbance rather than a generic solution, so the client can weigh cost against benefit for each option.

Report

Report

Findings are documented in a power quality report with the measured data, analysis and mitigation recommendations presented together, giving the client's engineering team a complete basis for deciding whether and how to address any issues identified.
