Thermography surveys

Infrared surveys that find hot spots before they cause failures.

Overview

Thermography surveys

We carry out infrared thermography surveys.

Hot spots are found before they fail.

Thermography surveys
What it covers

Scope in detail

IR survey

IR survey

Infrared thermal scanning is carried out across switchgear, connections, cables and equipment while the system is under normal operating load, since thermal anomalies from loose connections or overloaded components typically only show up under real electrical load.

Hot spots

Hot spots

Thermal anomalies detected during the survey are investigated to confirm genuine defects rather than measurement artefacts, checking emissivity, distance and reflected temperature effects that can otherwise produce false positives in infrared imaging.

Prioritisation

Prioritisation

Detected defects are ranked by severity based on the temperature rise above normal and the criticality of the affected equipment, so the client can prioritise urgent findings — connections at risk of imminent failure — over minor anomalies that can be scheduled for routine maintenance.

Report

Report

The thermography report documents every finding with the thermal image, a visible-light reference photo and the measured temperature rise, giving maintenance teams what they need to locate and correct each defect without needing to repeat the survey.
